Nice shots Grey… some very nice visitors into MAN today! Love the Eidelweiss A330… very nice livery on that. 🙂

From Ringway Reports:
Volga Dnepr Antonov 124 RA-82044 touched down from Denver early morning as VDA451. The aircraft subsequently daystopped, heading off to Cancun early morning as VDA4234.
I’ve logged VDA4234 as leaving at 2043 yesterday evening!

Sorry Grey…..
If I actually opened my eyes I would have realised that they were actually landing as opposed to taking off !!!
😮

To be honest, Graham, I was on the Terminal One car park roof and the landing shots were taken from Heald Green rail station. :D:D:D

Grey, I was also at Man this morning / afternoon. I spent most of the day near to where you were on the runway. Question is…… How do you get to the spot that you were at. I go to the bit where you turn left at the roundabout after the tunnel. You obviously go right there somewhere. But where ? How do I get further down the runway (and be legal too !)
Any help much appreciated. I will post some of my pics up later.
Regards
G

The cloudy landing shots were taken about 09:00 – 09:15 about 3 miles away from the AVP as the crow flies. 😀
That explains it then! 😀

Nice shots (wonder why it was so cloudy where you was standing, it was mostly blue sky and few clouds at the AVP!) 😀
Fantastic at MAN today, quite hot too (around 22-24 degrees). Managed to top up my tan! :p
Yeah the MyAir 320 was operating for LTE from/to Tenerife South. Martinair also operated for KLM sending there A320.
The Syrian B747SP also did a very weird procedure, taxied to 24R with no flaps, selected flaps, retracted flaps and then turned around going back towards the gate. Five minutes later it reappeared again and taxied to 24R with flaps as normal!

Are there any reasons for the C-130’s or are they just visiting?
Saudi AF C130s have been been regular visitors to MAN since I was a kid.
Sometimes they route directly to and from Saudi, other times they stop off to/from the USA.
Probably something to do with spares for earth-moving equipment…… 😉
