Turkey = Soviet Union 1944?

Is Turkey viewing the events in Kobane in the same light that Stalin viewed the Warsaw Uprising in 1944?

Turkey allows the vile evil ********s to eliminate the Kurds and then gambles that they will be able to deal with the ********s afterwards?

Stalin was assured of victory in the long run, is Turkey?

Hi All,
snafu352,
That obviously explains why they are stopping the Kurds in turkey from joining the fight, I thought at the time why are they doing that ? if they want to go let them IMHO so long as the fight doesn’t cross into Turkey. My problem with it is that Kurds that are in different countries as Asylum seekers/Immigrants whatever you want to call them are now kicking off saying the countries that they are in should be doing more to combat Is for them, well it just baffles me why they ran away to other countries instead of staying put and fighting with those who are now on the verge of collapse.
Instead they know what a soft life they have now compared to what they had, if they really feel the way that they do should they not be saying let us go and fight instead of rioting in the countries who have graciously given them sanctuary ?
As far as your question goes I think that if Turkey does not act it will have home grown problem on top of dealing with the aftermath of what is happening on their border, possibly seeing Turkey fighting on different fronts from IS on their borders and a gorilla warfare campaign from the Kurds within as well as fighting the PKK elsewhere and this would lead to other problems and possibly the fall of Turkey itself at the most extreme of scenarios ?

Geoff.
