So was it a hijack or not ? The more I read it sounds like some kind of political/religious protest gone wrong ?

not true, he was seeking political asylum in Italy as he didn’t want to serve military service back home in Turkey. The hijacker even wrote a letter to the Pope asking for assistance. This is what he has said to Italian police.

Thats what it was about some religious protest about the pope when he made some coments about some man. Myy Uncle who was on the flight wanted to know why they could not land at Greece as they where overflying Greece at the time.

Yeah my Uncle was on this flight lol 😀 all they where doing was going to rome to protest about the pope its so funny.
