CNN are reporting that a plane from Atlas Jet, a MD-83 has been hijacked to go to Tehran. It is currently on the ground at Antalya for refuelling.
Added. All passengers have escaped with the exception of four. Two crew and two hijackers are still on the plane.

Is that not an emergency exit slide?
Certainly looks like a rapid deployment of the rear air stair… ?

The tailcone seem to be hanging on by a cord. Perhaps anyone with MD-83 experience can enlighten? In any case it is not flying anywhere with that hanging off.

Hopefully this will be all resolved quickly and safely and the crew will get out ok, quick thinking by them to land the plane in Turkey and I guess it proves how much of a good investment it is to have secure flightdeck doors, I’m not sure if I’m confusing two thing’s here as they say ‘cabin’ door in the report but I’m assuming it’s the same thing.
One question though, when you see all the passengers escaping onto the runway why does the tail cone seperate and then later on isn’t there  , is this some sort of other way out of the plane or?
