Glad I watched a local programme this week about crashed WW11 aircraft on the southern coast instead.
At least the guy on there could tell you where it landed. Guess he might know a thing or two.

I forgot. And in the end it doesn’t look like I missed anything, either.

Isn’t that what TIGHAR are best at?

Well you can’t argue with that! and don’t they have access to some nice toys too! – Yet still they can’t produce the results – possibly because they are not there to find in the first place 🙁 Perhaps it is time to see this as being THE result and moving on to a new theory?

Hang on a sec, people in the UK still think TIGHAR actually does something other than raise funds for Gillespie to go swanning about the Pacific on vacation? He’s the biggest con artist going, I can’t believe people actually wasted time watching that asshat.

Not sure what the smudge was but to just take it for granted that it was part of the a/c is a bit OTT ! And as for the assumptions that the various pre-war articles belonged to Amelia…..daft.

All in all there are plenty of much more deserving projects out there that would have been more deserving of the publicity which will be generated by this documentary.

What ever happened to the theory that she was captured and executed by the Japanese while on a photo-recon mission?

That wasn’t a tailwheel. So obviously a turtle, laying on its back and waving its thumb.

i liked the smudge on the 1937 picture – “obviously a tailwheel sticking out of the coral” – talk about it often enough and it becomes true.

Nah! – too obvious – I am convinced they were abducted by aliens. It’s the only feasible explanation!!:rolleyes:

Blimey……!!

Why on earth has nobody ever come up with that? Do TIGHAR know?

I can see another documentary looming with that radical and most unlikely suggestion, Strangelove. :diablo:

After due consideration I have come up with a rather radical theory about this-

The hapless Earhart & Noonan failed to find land, ran of fuel & crashed into the water.

Was Hilary Swank the presenter?

Might have been the only reason to watch it.

I’m vaguely looking forward to this. I’m just hoping it’s not your usual American documentary, i.e. just skims across the top of the surface of the subject matter.
