BBC 1 Countryfile 7.20pm has interview with a Dambuster, Johnny Johnson, I assume, and report of an airfield returning to nature – Woodhall Spa I guess – and Just Jane.

V good, for Countryfile, if you know what I mean! good interview with john Bell. What’s happening at Woodhall is interesting. Being returned to nature in a sympathetic way. Some plants from NZ have been found, believed to have come from the seeds in the bags of NZ aircrew. Lots more lime here than should be here naturally which has encouraged plants not normally associated with this part of Lincoln. the lime was from the runway building. plans for a Dambusters memorial on the runway intersection.

A misleading tag to entice viewers, I suppose. Was it a good interview? I am not a fan of the presenters or the programme, but I hope they did justice to their theme.
