TV Prog Intro film (Emmerdale)

Hi
I was just wondering, in the intro for EMMERDALE which seems to be taken from a low flying HC there is a bridge but from the angle it is it seems like there is NO USE for it as there does not seem to be any road/rail or water crossing it ??. Does anyone know what it is used for and where it may be:D 😀 .

Can think of half a dozen such bridges dotted around Northern Ireland and parts of the south as well….mostly ex railways…a lot of the time when the bright sparks closed the smaller railways down they insisted on removing not just the tracks but in some cases the embankments as well….mad isnt the word for it 😡 !!!

and sure if life wasnt confusing it would get very boring !:diablo:

It also looks like the front of the Milestones museum in Basingstoke

Maybe not. In a related query, is the opening shot of the Curry’s TV advert the American Air Museum at Duxford ? Or is there another futuristic curved building with glass frontage around ? :confused:

.

There is a similar building to the AAM in Irvine, Scotland. (same architect) It looks very similar but a bit smaller. It used to be the venue of a kids science centre called “the big idea”, but I believe it closed a while back. Don’t know what its used for now

It’s on the west of the village of Lofthouse a couple of miles north of Pately Bridge in North Yorkshire. Its was part of the railway used in the building of Scar House reservoir in Nidderdale.

More info than most people would want, but I think you’ll find the answer here;
