TV shows you miss…

For me, there are two shows that used to be shown on terrestrial channels, but now they have either been moved to satellite/Sky (which I don’t have !) or they have just disappeared from our screens altogether…

1. Airwolf

2. The Crystal Maze

What TV shows would you like to see back on the box, that are not currently showing?

Fort Boyard, that was a good one. I miss that, though it shows up on some channels sometimes.

I think most of my favourites have been mentioned here already but here goes anyway.

CARTOONS
*Dangermouse
*Count Duckula
*Wilo the Wisp- Kenneth Williams had perfect voice for that

KIDS TV
*Press Gang

COMEDY
*Only fools and Horses
*Porridge- A true classic in my view and a fine fine cast
*Open All Hours- Always see this as the making of David Jason with Ronnie Barker as his Tutor.
*Blackadder-4th one is my favourite by far
*The Two Ronnies- the perfect comedy team
*Citizen Smith-Would love to see a new episode of this to see where Wolfie ended up.
*Red Dwarf

DRAMA
*Quantum Leap-a Classic in my view due to 2 very good actors
*Piece of Cake
*Darling Buds of May

I am sure theres more just slipping my mind for the moment.

The Rockford Files. Brilliant theme tune again. The very start of each show would play a recorded message on Jim Rockfords answering machine….

Willo the Wisp
It aint half hot mum (better than Dad’s Army or not???)
Pipkins (with that moth eaten Harley Hare)
Button Moon
Father Ted….”I’m not a fascist. Fascists go around wearing black and telling people what to do, whereas priests….more drinks all round!!”
Drop the Dead Donkey (one of the best satirical shows EVER!!! One of the best comedies of the 90’s)
The Fast Show….you aint seen me, roight!!
The League of Genlemen (forget Little Britain, this is better in my view, esp series 1 and 2)

Ah, have just thought of another one…

The Adventures of Tintin?

“Blistering Barnacles!” as the Captain would say!

does enyone remember stopit and tidyup, i think terry wogan narrated it..

dogtanian and the three muskahounds !!!!!!
battle of the planets…… that was great.
trap door….. brilliant..
henrys cat..
ruhbarb and custard..

BUTTON MOON……….we’ve been too button moon… and killed that ******* spoon……… 😀

“Stopit and Tidy up” was indeed narrated by the Tog Meister. (again another thing I have on video)
I have also got “Trap Door” – the late Willi Rushton’s narration and “Ruhbarb and Custard” on video

Hey Ashley – also from Duckula… “I’ll get it…”

I am beginning to realise I have a rather nostalgic video collection.
