Spent a pleasant evening at Stansted on the 01/07 and saw not one but two 747SP’s plus an Emirates A330, not a usual site at STN.

A few days earlier I stopped off at LHR on the way back from a fruitless visit to Brize Norton to make use of some glorious evening sun.

Shame summer seems to be over already:(. All the best Tony

With the price of fuel these days ..i’m quite surprised those gas guzzling SP’s are still flying
Most seem to be in the hands off Middle East governments such as Saudi Arabia and Oman where I guess the price of fuel is not really an issue :D. Yet another SP came into Stansted yesterday (08/07) A9C-HAK of the Bahrain Royal Flight as well as RA-82079 an An124 (a gas guzzler if ever there was one). Will post some pictures when I get round to processing them.
