Watched it last night.
A wonderful documentary, but I agree, they should of made a 2nd Blue Ray, with more airshow footage.
I received mine from my sister, who purchased it directly in Hamilton.
Worth every cent, just a shame they did not include, more shots of Europes most amazing & largest archipelago.
All the same brought a tear to my eye.
Regards Duggy

Well, I finally got to sit down in some peace and watch this this morning.

What a beautiful, beautiful documentary- powerful and emotional from start to finish. Brilliantly filmed, with cameras mounted on areas of the CWH Lanc that you don’t normally see views of in the air! Nice and honest, too- the false start, the display training difficulties, the engine failure and change- it’s all in there. As others have said, the displays section is perhaps a little light- only brief glimpses of the Vulcan day, Dams flyover etc, and no coverage of flying over NX611 at all- but this is a teensy tiny observation. The Canadian crew, in fact everybody featured, comes over so very, very well- what a lovely film this was. Thank you to all concerned.

Does the film include footage of the flight along Blackpool seafront passing the tower? I was on the sand dunes at the airport and saw the pair head off that way before they made the dams fly over?

There is a brief shot of the beach as they flyby. Nicely filmed but there isn’t much of the airshow appearances. I recon there must be another DVD on the ‘digital cutting room floor.’ 😉

Disappointed there’s no extras on the blu ray. Could’ve been a lot more flying footage shown with the majority of interviews as talk overs. With the amount that was done, this could’ve been a full length movie.

Received mine from Lincolnshire’s Lancaster Association today, about a week after ordering, not bad for such a high demand item. Had a brief look at it & I think I’m going to be well pleased!

Regards, Rich.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Facebook page has a video extract, apparently, but I’m bu**ered if I can find it on their page, never mind link it.

Given that I’ve got it for a Christmas present for someone, I may have to get myself one…

I have been asked by the Shop Manager at NAM to advise the following information, which has not even made it onto the NAM website yet!

Following an approach from Canada yesterday, an order for the “Reunion of Giants” DVD has been placed by the NAM Shop and a stock of DVDs is expected to arrive soon – sadly as yet no e.t.a!
