I have tried to post a few pictures but it comes back “Invalid file type”
This is just an excuse to post a few Harrier pictures, so has any one got any two seater Harrier photographs?

Hey that’s nice. I wasn’t aware there was one around in that colour scheme. Was actually thinking more of the later GR3 nosed version but thanks anyway. I was going to say that the Harrier is one of my favourite modern jets but it’s hardly modern now. Mind you, at my age anything newer than Hunters and Canberras count as modern.

How about this raspberry ripple example:

When 899NAS was 50 in 1992, they painted their T.4Ns and a few FRS1 jets in anninversary colour schemes.
Anyone got shots of those?
Back then the aircraft would have had XWxxx registrations.
XW268 on finals to Yeovilton 5th June 1994.

Its forum member Ian Sheffields unflown test-shell nose as shown in post #11 of this thread, as well as various other threads including this one…

All we need now is a few photos of T4s just to make my day. The only shot I’ve got of a T4 is the cockpit with S/L Harry Karl in the front seat and self in back. Would be pleased to have an update on Harry if there are any ex or serving Harrier Force personnel on here who know/knew him. A very genuine, down to earth and thoroughly nice guy in my experience.

since you ask……have this one too. None of them really spectacular, I’m afraid, 1st time out the box with a Fuji S1 (which only does min 320 iso) at Vaerloese, Denmark in 2002. These days shoot predominantly 100 iso with an S2 so much sharper, but not been near the dwindling number of 2 seat survivors for some time.

It couldn’t have been a “small” garage! (the wide angle lens makes me look bigger in comparison). Seriously, if you do have any historical information, it would be gratefully received.
No- the box of cockpit bits must have sadly been dispersed long before I got it…………..
As I mentioned previously, hopefully by summer’s end she will have proper canopies and intakes (and the seat will be bolted in so that when I stand on it
I am not perpetually tipped out over the side!)
Cheers,
Ian.

Ian,
The last time I saw that it was in a small garage at Charnock Richard. Hopefully you got the boxes of cockpit bits that I managed to aquire for Darryl? Good to see it’s got a seat in at last.

Hello Robert,
So THAT’S who made me almost fall off my ladder!
(Don’t forget to wave next time)
Seriously though, if you want a closer look in between your flights
from the West End of East Fortune then feel free to send me a PM.
I will be taking a new set of photos in a few days since the T2 is now off its handling trolley and perched on “proper” supports. (A bit more detail will now be visible).
Overhead flyers should notice some changes over the next few months as
I have acquired a set of proper canopies and from Dave T a pair of intake sections.
Anyone got a spare pair of wings?
Ian.

Wrongest? Surely not, those glos black Navy versons can look oddly attractive, well from some angles!
Humm, you could be correct Will, I’ve heard some women say that too ! :diablo:
