The X-31 and the Typhoon are pretty similar aircraft. The X-31 was used as testbed for ESTOL and post stall manouvering. Will it be possible to see tranche 3 Typhoons operating from British CVF ? With TVC and those automated landings tested with the X-31, it may be possible to take off and land without the development of a carrier specific version. What do you think ?
