:confused:Hello again,
I have tried to clear this up on my own but am struggling.
With regard to the current RAF ground attack capability on Typhoon, can somebody explain what the FGR4 aircraft can do that the F2 ones can’t?
I know there is a hint in the designation, but is it the case that they are operational with Brimstone and what Paveway can they employ?
After getting involved in the whole MRCA discussion i wasn’t sure exactly what the IAF might have been promised. Afterall I have read that the RAF are supporting the CFT work to free up underwing space for tranche 3, so i reasoned that RAF standard aircraft would have nearly all their A2G weaponry cleared by now (bar Stormshadow).
And are these CFTs the ones that look like half a fuel tank bolted on to the top on the fuselage or has the design changed?

Are the F2s not capable of dropping bombs?
