Looking at doing something with the Airfix 1/24 Typhoon beyond fondling the plastic but I have some questions re the colours of the internal structure for the Typhoon people on the forum.
Did the RAF/Hawkers use yellow zinc chromate primer? There’s alleged to be a lot of internal structure and access panel interiors in that finish. Similarly the wing spars etc are shown as being in grey green primer, same as the usual RAF cockpit colour. I know most of the structure in the cockpit was silver, should this also apply to panels, bay interiors and spars etc?
I’m wondering if the colours quoted come from restoration work on Hendon’s Typhoon, when the need was preservation for ever rather than building an aeroplane to last a few years.
Grateful for any help.

Is it the old one or new one you have? the new one has the car door on it 🙂
I would recommend the Aeroscale decals as well to replace the cockpit ones

Personally I would have said sliver.
