U-2…..the good ole Dragon Lady

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-02-03 AT 11:09 PM (GMT)]With the recent commencement of U-2 spyplane flights over Iraq there is lots of talk in the news (Internet, TV, etc.) about the U-2 itself. I happen to think the U-2 is a beautiful airplane. Here are some pictures in a tribute to, what is, in my opinion one of the best recce platforms ever.

I added NASA’s ER-2 in here as a bonus. It’s not often discussed. Perhaps AFM should do a feature on it. I think that would be pretty interesting to learn what all they do. How many does NASA actually have? How many U-2’s are left? 36? (Counting the four U-2ST trainers.)
