In view of what has happened to these, and indeed other School children, and many other incidents that have taken place, involving the use of Shotguns and Section 1 Firearms.do you think that any individual should be allowed to own seemingly as many weapons as they like?.in the U.S.A.
Personaly, I think the 2nd should be fine tuned, to allow anyone to own the minimum of weapons they REALY need, And all weapons be kept in a secure place within the owners property, or at a gun club, where they are secure.
Should they adopt the same rules and regs as we have here in the U.K.
The other week, I was watching a U.S.A. program where a family business purchased and sold, also traded weapons, and one chap brought to them a pristine GATLING gun he wanted to sell, need I say more?.
What are members views on gun ownership in the States?.

Whilst down in Cornwall, I was sitting outside with my son. His house has a large Wood behind it, as we sat there, we saw a Deer emerge from the Woods, it stood looking directly at us, and was only about 200yds away. It turned, so it was sideways on, a perfect kill shot.
I turned to my son and said, “If that had been in the States, I bet it would have been shot by now”
We then entered into a discussion, as to why anyone would shoot such a beautiful animal. We are now exchanging emails on the subject.

I have hit two with a car; a friend down the street has hit two with his car; whilst they average being the cause of 200 auto deaths in the U.S. annually.
I consider them vermin.
I do not hunt them as I have no great love for venison while at the same time, if I had a farm and caught some one poaching there, I would thank him for choosing my property.

Then you are either paranoid or irrational or are using your paranoia to rationalize your being irrational.

From your post you appear to be saying that just because you had access to guns, you’d end up shooting someone.
Er, no. I may have become a little intolerant in my old age, but I don’t think I’ve reached the point where I could shoot an unarmed, mentally ill woman merely for shouting in the street. The point I was trying to make was that if she’d had access to a firearm, like she probably would have done in the US, then she’d most likely have been at least brandishing it if not actually using it, and I’d have been caught up in the kind of massacre we read about all too often on the other side of the pond. The kind of incident to which the gun lobby’s only answer seems to be “More guns! We need more guns, because more guns means less shooting!”

On the way to work early this morning I saw a woman who was clearly quite unbalanced, screaming at everyone and no-one something about “WELL YOU DON’T LIVE IN A FIRE!! DO YOU? YOU DON’T ACTUALLY LIVE IN A FIRE, FOR F- SAKE!!!”Haven’t a clue what she was so furious about but she was about as angry as anyone can get. Last I saw she was going in a convenience store and causing quite a commotion, and I couldn’t help thinking how lucky we are in the UK not to have the right to bear arms, otherwise I’d probably be an item on tonight’s news.
Hmmm, kinda-sorta sounds like all the zombie movies are based on where you live by your fears.

Cops & guns (part 1):
Part 2:
Shoot out in Santa Monica today, 7 dead including the perp.. could have been more when some chump CHP cop drops his shotgun ammo & as he bends down to pick it up (twice).. he sweeps the people in front of him with his gun….. During all the televised drama involving this deal today the local stations have shown Officer Butterfingers dropping him ammo over 50 times… The guy is never going to live this down.

I have always reckoned that any phrase using the words “scientific” and “poll” is an oxymoron!
By: Mr Creosote - 4th June 2013 at 12:19
I very much doubt whether an “unscientific” poll conducted online by the Daily Torygraph presents a true picture.
By: ZRX61 - 3rd June 2013 at 22:27
If those 12,602 are former gun owners, then by the same token the rest of the population apparently don’t care if they have guns ….
