G-W Hangar is open all day, only closes for an hour over lunch time.

I found the programme a little tedious.

Brick By Brick
It was called ‘Brick By Brick’ and was shown on BBC 2. The programme explores taking apart and moving entire buildings which have historical significance, and unearthing the story behind them.
I very much enjoyed the 40 minutes I have so far seen (family commitments!), learning a lot about G-W and architecture along the way. He was something of a visionary as well as being passionate about aviation. The other episodes will focus on different projects.
It’s a worthy preservation endeavour by the RAFM and must have cost a small fortune, but I can’t help wondering how it compares with the poor condition of the main building and limited opening hours of the G-W Hangars which have featured in recent threads on this forum. Still, I suppose one has to prioritise with the money available and I applaud the RAFM for this particular project.
