As many of you will know, the “UK Youth Build-a-Plane Project” started off as an idea by Stewart Luck for a RANS S6 to be built by participating youngsters in various parts of the UK as part of the ‘Centennial of Flight’ celebrations, which has now been completed and flown in 2005 under the sponsoring supervision of the PFA.
For background story/pics etc. see http://www.buildaplane.org.uk
The project intends to continue to use the plane in 2006/2007 and beyond to fly UK youngsters and as an educational focus and general aviation motivator for educators and youth groups by the project team and to that end we are looking for potential sponsors – be they large or small.
If any forumites here feel that it’s a worthwhile project – and that could introduce us to potential sponsors – we would be interested in making contact.
