David – the other disturbing aspect of the story you did not mention was that the pilot was found guilty of threatening to kill Farage.

Most of us can draw some satisfaction from this rather sad story. At least Nigel survived to lead us all into a glorious future.

The pilot blamed the AAIB for taking a long time with the report -looking at the dates it appears to have taken six months -not excessive. On from that there was a potential cash story with the press that didn’t happen -a separation and living with relations. I cannot see that Nigel Farrage had any significant role in any of this -he played no part in the circumstances of the crash and it seems amazing that the pilot should see a newspaper story as a means of income!

In all of this sad ending – there is a place where you need to realise that maybe you have been given a second chance if you manage to survive a crash like that.

The whole situation speaks more to me of Nigel Farage the man, than anything else he could do or say.

I don’t see the irony, unless you find it ironic that a politician might have died whilst campaigning. That would not fit my definition of the word.:(
