Almost 40% of UK voters believe Nigel Farage is a ‘danger to Britain’
Nigel Farage suffered a setback ahead of his second head to head clash with Nick Clegg after a poll found nearly four in 10 voters viewed the UK Independence Party leader as a “danger to Britain”.
The verdict came after he named Russian president Vladimir Putin as the world leader he most admired and claimed Europe had “blood on its hands” over the Ukraine crisis.
Forty percent also believed him to be a ‘bit sleazy’.

A truth-telling politician would be like a talking dog, but waiting for one to come along is just surrendering and allowing to stupids, the crazies, and the vanilla to get in/stay in power. And all the politicians will claim they do tell the truth anyway – their truth, because we can’t handle the truth…!

Although I doubt UKIP pose any great threat to the main parties, in terms of gaining seats in Parliament.
They could cause upsets in the outcome of seats, where it is a close run thing between the main parties.
You can bet your life that in the run up to the next election, the dirty tricks department will be out to try and
turn people away from Farage.
I still don’t think we will ever get a chance to vote on our future membership of the European Community.

I just love to watch P.Ms. Question time on Wednesdays.
If kids at school, in the playground acted like they do at P.M.Q. time, they would all get detention no doubt.
Can’t trust any of them. I will vote for the first Politician who tells the truth, whether it hurts or not, ergo, I won’t be voting for anyone or Party.
Jim.

Hardly concrete evidence, seems like the liberals mates clutching at straws (again) .
Hardly…
Yesterday’s ComRes survey for MailOnline found 38 per cent of voters saw Mr Farage as a danger to Britain while 23 per cent who delivered that verdict on the Liberal Democrat leader.
MailOnLine… Wonder which corner of the media that is affiliated to?
Also, just because 38% thought Farage was a danger to Britain does not mean that the other 62% agreed with him or even thought positively of him; some might not have thought him a danger but could have thought him an undangerous prat. Or worshiped the ground he walked on, I suppose…

If Scotland votes yes so that all the Scottish votes are removed the proportions of votes cast in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will be interesting.

Whatever people think of UKIP, they are a far more credible party than The Liberals (under Clegg) will ever be.
Come the general election I think the Liberals will get a hammering, but I imagine they will still get an order of magnitude more seats than UKIP. We’ll see.

Except the other parties are not involved in the UKIP/Libs spat…..second round tonight, which I will not be watching.

I bet the statistics for the other parties are just as bad as well.
By: charliehunt - 2nd April 2014 at 07:22
Actually it was 38%, so 62% don’t share that view!
By: garryrussell - 2nd April 2014 at 07:06
Or to put it another way…60 per cent don’t share that view.

The only poll that matters in this debate is the election next month in which I suspect we will find out what the electorate really think about Messrs Farage and Clegg.

See the “Daily telegraph “article by Michael Rifkind on Farage and then read the comments!!Explains a lot. I hope the other parties get a real shock by UKIP in the next election ,Nigel should shake things up a little!!
