Ultimate cross-wind landing attempt

Here’s a A321 attempting a tough cross-wind landing followed by a go-around.

I can’t make out the airline, maybe you civil aviation buffs can tell me.

Blimey….!.

Must be flown by ex-Naval aviator not used to landing on a runway that wasnt pitching up and down and sideways to boot !.

Cheers

RE: Ultimate cross-wind landing attempt

Very good bit of footage. Well worth the wait for it to download. I must add though that in the last crosswind thread several of the pictures including the original weren’t actually crosswind landings but pilots attempts to return to the centerline after having deviated from it!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-02-03 AT 11:43 PM (GMT)]Ahhh, thanx for posting Serendib, this must have been the A321 that they were all on about in T5’s post the other day… its an Air Portugal (TAP) A321. Glad that I have now seen it… god what a tough landing, must have been one hell of a landing in the end!
