Ultimate holiday ?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-01-03 AT 03:45 PM (GMT)]what would your ultimate holiday be (unlimited cash and a time scale of say…2 months in total) ?

Me, I’d like to do that one in the Catalina that retraced the old Empire flying boat route from start to finish (Cost about 10 K 15 years ago, then fly from there down to OZ for the remainder on the Great Barrier Reef (plus a bit of internal outback (If I can use those words in the same sentence ?)exploring.

Reckon that’d do me just fine.

What about you guys ? Over to you.

Cheers

Gary

Safari again, in the South Luangwa park in Zambia. Maybe I’d fly there 1st class this time!

RE: Ultimate holiday ?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-02-03 AT 11:47 AM (GMT)]Not long ago I watched a programme on TV about train journeys, this particular train journey travelled from Toronto to Vancouver and it appealed to me.

Canada , some of the US, South America, then the pacific Islands (Galapagos, Easter Isl., Hawiai, Fiji etc)then onto Aus. and NZ , southern Asia, Japan and then possibly finish off with Trans Siberian Railway, I’m not a railway freak it just seems a lazy way to travel.
mmm!I wonder if my monthly travel card would cover that lot?

RE: Ultimate holiday ?

I would love to spend a couple of months touring Australasia. The place just amazes me. Like to do a tour of OZ first the NZ and then on to Singapore and other places in that region.

Have a good look at sydney, the opera house that famous bridge, that always shows other countries up when it comes to firework displays 😛 !

Tahiti, the South Pacific islands. Just heaven on earth. Also a trip on the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Vladivostok.
