Has anyone seen the pic of the all-metal Bf109G-2 replica at Friedrichshafen in the latest Today’s Pilot??
I had a Google for the company name (Roland Aircraft), and from what I can gather, this puppy is a TWO-SEATER, like the Supermarine Spit 26.
On the opposite page is another ‘109, from Mecklenburger Ultraleicht.
I’ve also seen in recent times a Rotax-powered Spitfire replica in New Zealand, as well as the Titan T-51 Mustang, and the Loehle 5151 Mustang and Spit Elite.
The Loehle aircraft are all wood and fabric, so look a bit like starved horses to me! 😮

Hang on, isn’t “warbug” a term used (chiefly in the States) for light aircraft such as the Cub that served in wartime?

I could live with that…

I know that, but Ultralight Historic Aircraft would have been too vague…

Not Warbirds, they are machines pretending to look like Historic Aircraft….
