UN Support Units.

Good evening, I have encountered a little problem and I hope that some of you will be able to elude the mystery for me.
When helicopters and transport operate under the UN flag, do these aircraft become apart of a United Nations Air Force with a unit designation or do they remain apart of their previously assigned unit! I tried looking up the information on the UN website but I didn’t have any luck. Thanks a million! Cheers!
