Hi All,
I am looking for photos that were posted on this forum a while ago, but the search function doesn’t want to spit them out. Does anyone perhaps know the magic combination that will turn up the photos of G-ACSS in formation with XS235?

Yeah, I got the same effect with Concorde taxiing back after it’s last landing at Filton. How I laughed… 😡
Regards,
Paul

Sometimes (when your camera breaks) things go fortuitously wrong…
Here’s an example. My camera jammed, but I got 6 pics into one.
See?
Looks like one of those montage type pics you see in adverts, quite a good effect I think even if it is not what you wanted

I was also on this sortie with JDK. We shot these pics on 29th July 1992,from the open ramp door of an RAF Hercules. I also flew back to Boscombe in XS235. What a brilliant sortie that was and you can see my photos and read all about it in the October 1992 issue of Aircraft Illustrated.

Guess that’s a ‘No’, Robbo.
The funny thing aboyt my pics is that if I’d TRIED it wouldn’t have worked, and if it had been the previous film (featuring the two Comets flying together) I’d have been spitting blood…
Cheers

Kinda surreal, really….had that happen at a warbird show once, got 24 exposures on one frame of film…really ****ed me off…

Actually – they each make a very cool montage. (What’s the plural of montage?)

From Boscome to Hatfield, had a ride back in the Comet to Boscombe.
The only ever occasion both types of dH Comet flew together. One of only two occasions both comets were seen together (as far as we know)
Cheers!

Yeah, that Comet looks great!
Where did this take place again JDK?

That really is a beautiful aeroplane… and no, I don’t mean the Herc in the background. 😉

pleasure – some more

Brilliant! Thanks JDK! I was hoping that the photographer would notice and repost them, and Steve mentioning the thread title suddenly triggered my memory and made me remember that it was you.
Still means that the search function is crap, but my immediate problem is solved! 😉

My pics.
Here they are from my hard drive…

You’re probably right, but searching on that produces no results unfortunately. Wasn’t it JDK who took those photos?

Got a feeling the thread was entitled something along the lines of “Never to be repeated formations”…
