Moggy, Sorry to be so behind the times mate but I’ve only just had chance to get on the computer for the first time in ages. Hope you had a fantastic time.

Hoho!

Well Mrs Moggy ordered me to be up and packed at 0730 Monday morning with some smart kit and some more casual.

We took the aged Toyota to Ely Station and caught a train to Kings Cross. This narrowed the choice to Brussels or Paris and it turned into the latter.

A great time, met there the next evening by nine chums, not one of whom had breathed a word about it. Slap up dinner in La Cupole, a ceremonial procession of flunkies marching to the table and singing ‘Happy Birthday’ with a cake with just one candle (roman)

Fabulous!

And in answer to the impertinent question – I fear this was the big Six-Oh 🙁

But thank you all for your good wishes!

Moggy

what a fine lady she must be to arrange all of that, at my 40th my Mrs got me a “wonder woman” box set of DVD’s…… the mind boggles but maybe in 17 odd years time she’ll take me off somewhere. belated happy birthday from me

I suspect Moggy may still be trying to blow out all the candles.

I didn’t realise the relevance of Paul Sengupta’s photo at the time!! 😀

A lot! :diablo:

Bloody hell Daz, I’ve just noticed the number of postings you have made, I can give you the number of a good psychiatrist, well something to pass the time until his nibs gets out of the freezer and thanks us all for remembering him, or perhaps he really did go down with that Spitfire at the end of ‘Piece of Cake’.

I reckon he stowed away in the bomb bay of Liberty Belle and is enjoying the delights of the US. Or he could be taking the traditional ‘Suffolk Mans’ holiday in Mablethorpe and searching the dunes for ‘Life the Universe and Everything’.

hey..as there has been no sign of moggy for a while…myself and my friends were driving along sunderland coast tonight and found a bearded man who frankly looked lost as he was lying on the pier singing….could it be him?

Yeah happy birthday moggy, whoever you are!

Look in the list of Moderators for this site, and you’ll find him.

Many happy returns Moggy.

I guess we’ll have to cut a limb off and count the number of rings to find out how old you are! :diablo:

After a good old celebratory session on the old Adnams Broadside, he was probably unconcious outside The Sole Bay Inn last night and couldn’t respond, I bet he crawled along the road to the Sailors Reading Rooms and spent the night there under a pile of newspapers.
Belated Happy Birthday Moggy.
