I love seeing these underwater wrecks, there is just somthing about them that appeals.
I wish someone would produce a book on this subject.
Would love to see your footage Firebex if you can find it.

The Baltic has to be a place to go looking, water conditions are very good for preservation. On second thoughts the best places are fresh water lakes which were often frozen at the time of the forced landing or were in use as a temporary airstrip.
The channel between France and the Uk is one of the worse places especially when the surface preservation plan is not in place or proven,eg Brenzett 109,Firebex is spot on as usual.

I have a video of about 20 minutes of a Hurricane underwater. And if I can find it underwater footage of about 11 aircraft including Skyraider,Sea Fury,Wellington,Liberator, and many more all in the Med and all between 75 and 110 metres. But all protected and some waiting their turn to hopefully one day be raised. but no point unless the facilities and funds are there to deal with them.
I amongst others a little concerned over the flying pencil the RAFM are planning on raising .Is there the proper facilities for it are there the realistic funds to preserve it,are there the funds to raise it ??.Lots of questions and in these times it takes an awfull lot of thought as well as the above to be able to undertake.
