Understanding Quantum physics

Quantum physics is characterized by the intrinsic and unavoidable use of probability (implying indeterminacy in the behaviour of individual systems). Quantum mechanics is a major subdivision of quantum physics that deals with particles and calls into question the simplest kind of realism. Quantum field theory is another major subdivision of quantum physics. It deals with fields and represents a natural fusion of quantum physics and special relativity. Quantum fields can be interpreted in terms of particles and provide a good way of describing at least three of the four fundamental forces of Nature. General relativity represents gravity as a manifestation of space-time curvature: ‘matter tells space how to curve, space tells matter how to move’. Electromagnetism was ultimately responsible for the introduction of the field as a new fundamental ingredient in physical world-views. Although attempts were made to formulate mechanical models of the electromagnetic field, such efforts are no longer a serious topic of scientific investigation. Fields are introduced to avoid the use of action at a distance. Newtonian mechanics is based on equations (Newton’s laws of motion, Newton’s law of universal gravitation) that are deterministic: they have the property that the present is entirely determined by the past. Complete knowledge of the state of the Universe at any one time would make possible, in principle, the determination of its state at all other times.

As opposed to the internal handle?

Can I suggest you don’t use it as a hat then !!!!!

I’m getting concerned about this Big Jug fixation.

I’m more into quality rather than quantity, myself.

I didn’t buy it, it was a Christmas present from my lady. Perhaps she was trying to make me look intelligent. More like Neanderthal with a furrowed brow and crossed eyes.

It is remarkable what you will buy to make yourself look intelligent! Chaucer in middle english, Hawkings for the cover art, the Koran to fend off mormons. Kinda like buying Playboy to make the girl in the newsagents think you are an intellectual when you probably really wanted the latest edition of Big Jugs Monthly… Try reading that on the train!
Oops, did I type that out loud?

I understood every single word of the first post. Unfortunately, that’s the only way I can understand them. Strung together as they are, to me it’s total gibberish.

Yes… Can see they’d be very impressed(!), but maybe you should put in a bit more about how much you hate one particular type of new and not yet in service jet over another similar new and not yet in service jet – just so that they don’t flame you straight off for being a complete egghead!
Do you watch Star Trek by any chance?

Flood. (They are invading, people – and sending troops on ahead in an effort to make us think they are more intelligent than us. Ugh.)
