Underwing bomb carriers…

I photographed this on the RAF museum Hendon P-51 yesterday. I have several similar items of these here at home, and wondered if anyone can tell me what type of bomb carrier they are from.

I managed to retrieve five more of these today. They do have the drilled and tapped holes for where the steady feet screw through as in the picture on the Mustang. I spoke to someone who instantly recognised them for what they were, but said they could be of possible American manufacture as he remembers alloy ones being used on British bomb carriers.

Can anyone add anything to this?
