MD-11 identified

Thanks for the information!!I am really a historic avaition buff being almost historic myself!I do a fair amount of travel and do take an interest in avaition around me so if I spot any unusual items I will post them.Local leaving airport for home is Yushno -Sakhalinsk (Russian Fed),this is a fairly busy airport with lots of AN 24s,Mil helicopters and the weekly(?) Transaero airbus,TU-154s also fly from here.

wl745,

A quick look on the net came up with possibly N292UP. I checked ACARS and there seems to have been 2 logged UPS MD-11s – One is in the full livery, and N292UP I couldn’t find a picture, but it explains the bare metal on the bottom which indicates it’s most likely an ex-Delta aircraft. Looking up N292UP brings up;

01/03/1994 Delta Airlines N811DE
23/03/2006 UPS N811DE Stored at Roswell 03/2006
05/10/2006 UPS N292UP

So most likely you’re bird. But don’t flame me if im wrong 😀

HTH,
Sam
