Can any one tell me what “modulator type 67” was used for? As can be seen from the attached pics it does not follow the standard Air Ministy construction for wireless units, the case itself is a greyish colour ,while the contorl knobs appear to be American in style and type.

Thanks for the replies, just to confirm that I am trying to find out what set up “MODULATOR TYPE 67” was used in.
Badger 1968,this is NOT test equipment.
The labels that everyone has tried to read are in fact attached to another unit standing next to the box in question.I know this for a fact ,the “group picture” is part of my collection and I put the labels on,Smirky has read the adjoining label correctly it is a boxed unissued waveform generator type 40.I believe that MOD,67 was part of an A.S.V. fit mounted in Swordfish aircraft, and the Royal Navy liked their boxes painted grey.

I was just going by the only item he provided a close-up of… which would indicate that this was what he wanted identified.

The paper attached to the right if the item says “waveform generator type (C-O?) MkIII” plus more illegible words.
The labels on the knobs confirm this… this is a piece of test equipment designed to generate signals where the operator varies pulse width, amplitude, voltage, delay between pulses etc.
If it is American, test equipment is normally that shade of grey.
It would be used in testing & repairing malfunctioning electronics… such as wireless sets..
