Unique gathering of RAF WW2 aircrew veterans in one week with Project Propellor

I am not sure how many of you are aware of the yearly Project Propellor event but on June the 4th this year approx 175 private light aircraft will be descending for all over the country on the former Church Fenton airfield with very special passengers, approx 240 WW2 RAF aircrew. The aircraft, flown and paid for by volunteer private pilots, will give these heroes of the past a trip to remember and give them a chance to meet, talk and possibly find thier former crew or squadron members. When you think that most are in thier mid 90’s now and we hope too have 240ish there the combined age of these veterans is over 22,000 years!!!
For more information about this unique yearly event please check out the website at http://www.projectpropeller.co.uk or like it at the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ProjectPropeller/?ref=ts&fref=ts

To also read more about how this event nearly didn’t happen this year, thanks too all people but the RAF, and a video from a previous event please follow this link
