If only it were a real DC-8 😀

Now you come to mention it…………..it does;)

I’ll propably get flamed for this, but I think it looks awkward on an A320.
Call me crazy, but the scheme makes the A320 look a bit like an old United DC-8.
Anyone agree?

Its almost there. I agree, the Malev scheme does not suit the DHC 400, but at least they had a go:)

There is by the way an Aeroflot retro of sorts, altough I would not call this an exiting one

Its actually Dnieproavia celebrating its 80th anniversary, having started as an Aeroflot directorate.
But when we are talking of types being suited, I don’t think this ERJ is very suited, nor is the DHC8-400 Malev is using.

I agree, it does look awkward but still a refreshing change. It would of looked quite striking on the 737 as you say. I think its the rather blunt front end of the A320 that doesn’t suit the curves of the colourscheme.
On a similar note, I think the new United/Continental suits the A320 series more than it suits the the B737 for some reason.

They should have painted a 757 or 737 with the Retro livery. There older look of the Boeings would have lent itself well to the livery.

I really like these retro liveries. C’mon Aeroflot, lets see one. Had Interflug survived, perhaps this would have looked good on an Airbus, a Boeing, or an Ilyushin. But then again, too political I guess;)
