Thank you, Oracal. As Joan Meakin was the only female pilot to fly as part of Cobham’s National Aviation Day flying circus, that does rather narrow the field. Cobham probably wouldn’t have been brave enough to hire Mildred Bruce!

I presume that the photograph was taken when G-ABSI was being employed for pleasure flying by Alan Cobham’s National Aviation Day flying circus. If so, is the lady signing autographs the pilot of the Ferry? If so, does anyone know who she is?
