Unknown liquid container from crash site

Hi all,

here I have a small liquid container with the stamp “218F”.
Most of the rating plate is destroyed.

Dimension of container ca. 13cm x 8cm x 7cm

Possible this container was installed on the engine.

Who can identify this item ?

Regards
Nils

Thanks for the info !

The aircraft must be a Wellington III.

How sure is the info about a oil aerator/separator ?

Looks familiar..

Think it is an oil aerator/separator and is usually mounted on the firewall.Type unknown…
