Hi, can anyone tell me from which aircraft/engine this came from? The owner says it was part of a Rolls-Royce engine.

Definitely an oil cooler. It looks like the Halifax type that goes between the two circular coolant radiators. They are certainly elliptical in shape.

I agree about that one too Peter
The later Halifaxes used Morris block radiators. Before that these were
in fashion. We recovered on from Mk II JB803.

It may well be Peter – there are a huge variety of radiators and oil coolers. Yours should have a manufacturers plate on it. It looks like a Serck product to me, an similar although not the same as the Whitley oil cooler.
As others have said, dimensions and dates would be great.

It actually looks like the oil cooler from the core of the main engine coolant radiator.

Picture is labelled Typhoon…it isn’t typhoon (no space for the oil cooler in the centre of the radiator….and it look way too small!!)
