Unkown lock from Wellington crash site

here I have a nice part in a very good condition, and a unknown case from a Wellington crash site.
Maybe someone can help to identify ?

Nils,

That’s a bomb release mechanism. Fitted to the bomb and then hoisted into the bombbay of the Wellington.
