Unusual helicopters over The Plain

I was out walking this afternoon on Salisbury Plain between Tidworth and Bulford and saw two unusual helicopters I’m hoping somebody on here can help explain.
The first flew over at about 1430 and was a Gazelle but wearing a scheme I haven’t seen flying around here for a very long time, it was red with a white tail. 90% of the Gazelles around here are green/grey from Middle Wallop or the Raspberry Ripple from the ETPS, if the ETPS have fitted this helicopter out with additional avionics why wasn’t she painted also?

The second was almost a double take, an Apache flew low overhead 10 minutes later and I noticed the rear windows (pilots) had black boards taped over them using quite obvious white tape. The front cockpit was as normal, are they doing night flying training at Middle Wallop?
