de Havilland Mosquito NF.11 HJ711 โ Up date for First Engine runs scheduled for the end of June
Thereโs been a lot of pressure to get the Merlin engines running on this unique aircraft but as anyone who has worked in aircraft restoration know they can throw all sorts of unforeseen problems up at you and this restoration is no different, Tony and his team are working very hard to make the first engine runs possible .
Potential engine runs which were scheduled for the end of June are unlikely to take place. This is because parts that are required for the starboard engine are not available, so there is no other alternative but to have the parts machined.
All further information relating to first engine runs will be advised at a later date by Tony Agar the aircrafts owner and will be postedn Mosquito web site http://www.mossie.org

Thank you for the update – may be worth mentioning the details of the parts sought – its amazing what info/parts the folks here seem able to produce! Best of luck ๐
