Hi all,
Our slide on grease gun adaptor for the grease nipples on the Victor has finally given up the ghost and is no longer greasing!
If anyone has any links to where a new one can be purchased from please let me know as this is essential to the maintenance schedule!!
It is a standard NATO slide on adaptor, used on most cold war era aircraft. We did bid on one on ebay a dew days ago, but we were pipped to the post at the last second after bidding £50 for the item, which is extremely annoying!
Please let me know if anyone can help,
Cheers

See attached pic – is that what you’re after, 1/8 inch in size?
There’s a petroleum products servicing company in Denmark called H. Orloff that sells them. It’s listed as a Tecalamit HF 4000 in their catalogue. If it is the right one let me know and I can make some enquires on your behalf as to what it would cost to get one from them.

Hi thanks for the links, will try to get them, to be honest (and i am sure I will regret saying this!) we would pay pretty much anything as its a vital part of the maintenance!!
The exact spec is to fit SP21 grease nipples and the part number is Tecalamit HF 4000
Cheers

I went to a surplus place in Cornwall years ago which had loads of them at a £1 each -just trying to place the location!

LAS do stock them but the last time we bought some they were a rip-off price. They are also much physically bigger (though they do fit the nipple correctly) than the original ones we had in the RAF and this can be a pain when trying to get in difficult access areas. The ones that Cromwell sell are for lorries and scammel tank transporters and are of the wrong size!

Bardolf tools should stock them. Give Cromwell Tools (Bardolf’s UK agent) a ring – 0191 487 3000 (ask for Paul Stewart and mention its a tip off from Newcastle College). I think Team Valley should be closest to you, and they should be ble to find them IF they are still being made by anyone. It might help if you can get a part number.
Have you tried LAS? Light Aero have a stock of tooling and sometimes have older stuff.
Bet Air Atlantique have some knocking about — perhaps for a small donation?

Yes it is, however its finding the right size for the aircraft nipples, I will have to double check on the size, however becasue its an imperial size we have had a hard time finding one.
Any contacts would be appreciated!
Many Thanks

Is it a ‘tacelemit’ type which slides onto a disc essentially??
