US 757's across "The Pond"

US airways are using 757’s to shannon for the remainder of the summer.I wasn’t aware of any of US 757’s flying over the atlantic before & was thinking Shannon is the first destination to see them?

If they do, nobody has a photo of it on a.net as of yet. Those are relatively new types for them, so they might not have been scheduled for heavy maintainance since the new livery was introduced, and therefore have not needed a new paint job.

Speaking of their A330s, have they painted any in the new livery yet?

So US only use ex-ATA 757’s that are ETOPS certified,do the original US 757’s all have rolls royce engines?

Yes, they do. However, I don’t know that they are certified to fly trans-Atlantic, hence, the acquisition of the former ATA aircraft.

They are using a mix of both 757s and 767s. A 767 operated the flight 3 days ago and a few flights last week.

The 767s just fill in when there have been tech flights. The 757s are scheduled to do ALL flights to GLA.

GLA has seen a few 757’s. They use the ex-ATA ones as their ETOPS ones
