Hi All,
Tangmere1940 Such a sad loss of life a decent chap doing his bit in recovering lost airmen from their discovered resting places in many oceans.

Seems to be a related dive for missing airmen as both ‘Project Recover and Bentprop’ are doing this together, so you can only assume they know the
full background story of why he was diving on a particular wreck. Perhaps you have a better chance than most by contacting either group direct being
as you are in the business so to speak.

This from the ‘Project Recover’ facebook page:- https://www.facebook.com/pg/ProjRecover/about/?ref=page_internal

Their web page for contact details and anybody interested:-https://scripps.ucsd.edu/projects/projectrecover/

Bentprop facebook:- https://www.facebook.com/pg/BentProp-Project-160394617986/about/?ref=page_internal

Their web page for contact details and anybody interested:-https://bentprop.org/

Geoff.

This is the group referenced in the article…Project Recover https://scripps.ucsd.edu/projects/projectrecover/about/

He is reported as being aged 63, my own diving knowledge is that the tables used to calculate decompression stop times become less accurate as divers age increases, USA divers and uk sport divers often dive using tables designed for younger divers regarding air dives. It has not been reported whether the diver was using technical mixed gas diving methods.

A sad event and I have sympathy for his family and friends.

Hi Andy,

A proposed aggregate dredging operation has kick started a more detailed survey on the Goodwins (GAD8).

Details are “commercial in confidence” so little detail is released but a presence in the public gallery of the Inquest may give more that you can print.

Ross
