US Navy defeated by…whales?

California’s court system strikes again:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/02/04/navy.sonar.ap/index.html?eref=rss_topstories

They must have missed the bit about the NEPA being put in place to take care of natural resources and the environment for man’s continued use. I couldn’t find whale’s rights mentioned in there anywhere.

Read the whole (outdated) document here:

Hahahaha… yeah… the US navy not being allowed to use sonar in one place off the coast of California will mean the end of the US Navy.

The sky is falling.

I guess where the 5th column will strike the US… Oh the humanity…

Yeah, I’m sure it doesn’t matter to New Zealand. Do they even have any sonars in service (fish finders don’t count).

Let us know when you’ve got the rest of the world to sign on to not using sonar anymore.

You know i’m glad i’m not the only one with that line of thinking Sferrin, i was just typing up a post 5 mins ago moaning about the libtards doing this but thought ‘ah why bother no-one will agree with that’ but how wrong i was.
It would seem the libs in America would do anything they can to weaken the military, there can’t be many other countries that have internal enemies of the military with that much power. I realise our nanny state here in the UK isn’t too great but i can’t imagine any libtards in this country being able to take matters this far, just insane it is.
I wonder how many other navies world wide have got to put up with pathetic crap like this, not to many i would imagine.

I don’t understand the problem?

Nuclear weapon testing was also banned and it was for environmental reasons, not economic or military.

You sure that shouldn’t read: “US Navy defeated by… Wales“?

RE: US Navy defeated by…whales?

Has anyone pointed out how much contamination would be caused by a super-carrier sinking?
