The difference between an individual’s hobby and a job!

There’s but a thin line between work and hobby 😉

It is odd to see A10s and F16s put out to pasture too.

There’s a lot of fairly recent stuff there. Rows of S-3s, C-130s, F-18s, even B-1s. Not to mention the construction jigs for the B-2. There were still several B-57 Canberras there when I visited about 5 years ago, presumably retained as spares support for the NASA fleet.

Just wow! Love the pictures shot at night time with the stars! Would love to spend some time wandering around there poking around in all the old aircraft, would be like a kid in a sweet shop…… :eagerness:

It is odd to see A10s and F16s put out to pasture too. I’d be very keen on a B52 or C5 yoke too! Use up that hand luggage allowance. An F86 would do me too Bill, a nice compact cockpit.

I’ve never seen photos of C-5s there. It looks like they’re getting a lot of parts from them.

Also, in all my visits I can’t recall seeing the B-66 or F-86. They don’t have a lot of old (50s-early 60s) stuff there any longer.

I’ll be visiting D-M next year…I’ll keep my eyes open for neat stuff, and check the nearby civilian scrapyards.
I’ve bought some instruments from them as well as a tail rotor blade that’s now in my den,. And a rust free tailgate from a postwar Jeep I’m restoring.

Really great shots. Wish mine from a couple of years ago were half as good.
