Well at least it was the correct flag. I think I would have lost control of my bodily functions laughing if they raised the North Korean one by mistake!:)

Pretty shameful that a (formally) sea fairing nation cannot secure a flag to (for want of a better word) a yard arm.

Saw the comment by AutoStick “Dont worry about it !! Most other countries fly our union flag upside down” – never mind other countries, plenty of British people in the crowds at these events seem to have no idea which way to fly the flag either!!

And as for calling it the Union Jack by various presenters!!! 🙁

You’re kidding, they are anal and I mean anal about their flag touching the floor, a mate of mine in the RAF attempting to steal the one off a flagpole outside the guardroom of a certain US Airforce base had a cocked .45 put to his Temple and the words “don’t move bud” whispered in his ear, the fact he was standing on it in the mud as he was trying to undo it was the bit that got them severely peeved. 😀

We’re not having much luck with flags 😀 I’m sure our American brothers and sisters will see the funny side of it though.
