USAF considering mounting BATs in place of 105mms on AC-130

While it doesn’t seem very cost-effective (105mm shell is pretty cheap comparatively and US enemies lately seem to be using dirt-cheap east-bloc equipment), it does increase standoff attack range to 20-50km.
