USAF FX contenders

I’ll ASSuME everybody here knows the story of the USAF’s 1965 “FX” reqruirement for a new air superiority fighter and which aircraft was chosen for that role, but what about the two aircraft {made by NAA and Fairchild} not selected? Does anyone have any pictures or drawings of these would-be F-15s? I’ve heard it that the Soviets were surprised that McDonnel Douglas won as they considered one of the other aircraft technically superior, shades of ATF?
