I have a very ,very nice undercarriage position indicator still in its box but no one seems sure what it was used in.
It is described as Undercarriage position indicator Type B. 5C/1008
I have had two suggestions so far one is early Hurricane the other is Hawker Typhoon not really sure on either.
Open to the floor anyone out there know for definite please what it went in please .It is obviously a tail wheel retractable with day and night settings Pull and twist adjustment in the centre. It is manufactured by Ashley still in its box and looks like it just left the factory.
Ta very much.

1008
The one in my panel is a 1008, modified to a 1009 (by Dowty no doubt) by simply over stamping the T with an N. Otherwise the same item.

Not Vampire, that’s a 1009!
Sad, me?
Thanks Bruce
I thought Vampire was not right as it is clearly for a tail dragger tricycle undercart.
Any other offers Tempest and Typhoon sound good and confirms one of the suggestions I had been given. For its age it is immaculate like it just came from Ashley’s all in its original packaging it would be a shame to go on someones shelf hoping to find someone who can make the proper use of it.
Although I cant guarantee it I feel 99.99% it has to be serviceable as it has obviously never been near an aircraft.
