It was just anounced in the news that this LA (or is it an Improved LA) just wiped out a Japanese (fishing vessel not sure) it surfaced and the vessel was above it. The sub doesn’t seem to be hurt but approx 10 Japanese were killed. I thought procedure was to do a periscope observation before surfacing.
