Is it true that the former gate guard once went for a walk and was found outside the railway station?

re;

I am told by somebody who was there, that the milkman asked the guards if they had lost something, they replied no, and were embarrassed to find the Spit in front of the Railway station. Can anyone back this up?

Or indeed “Reggie the Lion” from Kings College which, as a civil engineer there, I jealously guarded from various assaults. I wonder if these mascots still feature at London University or are viewed as too immature. Modern students don’t know what they are missing. Flour bombs and soot projectiles………. Happy days.

Brunel University rag week stunt, peut-être? If so, at least in respect of that I can avoid saying mea culpa – but I couldn’t do as much in respect of the stuffed bear from Royal Holloway College!

There were two

RW382 was pylon mounted post the BoB film 1969.

PK624 rested on its u/c from 1958-63.

I have not heard this story but if it is true it will certainly get mentioned in Vo.II.
